YOUTH COUNCIL... FEEL THE POWER! Everyone's welcome at Youth Council Meetings:
When? 4th Thursday evenings Sept. - May 6-7:00 p.m.
Where? MF Community Center (W152 N8645 Margaret Rd.)
The Youth Council is the action arm of Falls Youth Initiative - a leadership/service group designed to give area youth a voice and help raise the number of assets in their lives. On average, Menomonee Falls kids reported only having 18 of the 40 assets. The national average is 19.3. The Youth Council wants to make Menomonee Falls an even better place to grow up. The youth leaders of the Council wish to create constructive publicity around youth issues, adopt worthwhile service projects, offer positive activities, illuminate opportunities for area youth, speak to groups about increasing assets for kids -- whatever it takes to help young people be as successful as possible.
Are you in 6th-12th grade and interested in making a positive difference in Menomonee Falls? Join the Youth Council! For only $5 a year you receive a free t-shirt and get to take advantage of membership specials around the village.
